Dishwasher

Position Overview: Help keep our kitchen spotless! We need a hardworking dishwasher to clean dishes, maintain order, and support the kitchen team. Responsibilities: Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using manual and mechanical dishwashing methods. Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and surrounding spaces. Kitchen Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen tools, equipment, and appliances as needed. Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recyclables appropriately and ensure the kitchen waste bins are regularly emptied. Support Staff: Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when needed. Inventory Monitoring: Inform management of any shortages or maintenance needs for cleaning supplies or dishwashing equipment. Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards to ensure a safe working environment. Organization: Organize and store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in designated areas. Requirements: Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical tasks like bending, lifting, and carrying heavy items (up to 50 lbs). Attention to Detail: Strong focus on cleanliness and sanitation. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff in a fast-paced environment. Time Management: Efficiency in managing dishwashing and cleaning duties during peak hours. Adaptability: Flexibility to perform additional tasks as requested by the kitchen or management team. Availability: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided. Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines is preferred. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
