Field Claims Representative - Pittsburgh

Acuity is seeking a Field Claims Representative to investigate, record facts, preserve evidence, determine coverage. The representative evaluates liability, exposure, subrogation potential and arrange for the disposition of claims through settlement or denial, including litigation. In this role, duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in the field and in person with a high level of frequency.

Candidates must be located in, or willing to relocate to, Western Pennsylvania or Greater Pittsburgh areas for this opportunity. Internal deadline to apply: June 19th, 2026.

Essential functions include organizing work, conducting thorough investigations, inspecting property damage, understanding medical terminology, identifying subrogation opportunities, employing customer service concepts, identifying potentially fraudulent claims, maintaining a sense of urgency, utilizing sound judgment, handling claims, maintaining a positive attitude, representing the company professionally, maintaining company property, maintaining working relationships, supervising defense attorneys, having a valid driver's license, and performing other duties as assigned.

Education: College degree or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of insurance claims experience required, with multi-line and/or field adjusting experience preferred. Trucking litigation background is a plus.

Other qualifications include knowledge of property and casualty claims practices, good written and verbal communication skills, organizational and time management skills, basic understanding of state statutes and case laws, customer service orientation, efficient use of laptop and associated software, and the ability to work independently.

This job is classified as exempt. The salary range for this position is $75,000- $150,000 annually.
