Position Title: Baker Job Category: University Staff Employment Type: Regular Job Profile: Baker Position Summary The University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a Baker. This position performs a variety of food preparation activities and is responsible for preparing, baking, and decorating a variety of baked goods for campus dining locations. This position supports daily food production by following recipes, maintaining food quality standards, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position! The position will work in a collaborative and educational environment to provide customer service and related activities in campus dining operations, following established procedures and best practices to assure high quality dining services. Key Job Responsibilities Performs baking and related activities Follows established baking procedures and best practices to create and serve high quality baked goods, according to quality and safety standards to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve departmental food service goals Prepares a variety of baked goods including yeast products Assists and guides student workers Assists with recipe and menu development and testing Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas Adheres to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures Required Education H.S.
