School-Age Childcare Staff

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Programs at Roaring Brook Elementary School, Grafflin Elementary School, and Westorchard Elementary School in Chappaqua, NY for the 2026–2027 school year.

Location: Roaring Brook Elementary School, Grafflin Elementary School, and Westorchard Elementary School in Chappaqua, NY

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 7:30 - 9:00 am

Afternoon Program: 2:55 - 5:15 pm

Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Job Status: Part-time, non-exempt

Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. Position Responsibilities:

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
