Attorney - Insurance Defense

Litigation Associate – Fort Lauderdale, FL Our client is a well‑known defense firm specializing in medical malpractice and healthcare, insurance defense, estate and family law. They are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Associate to join their team and manage a substantial caseload with minimal supervision. Candidates should have significant experience with the litigation process, including discovery, motion practice and depositions. Four to five years of experience is desired; experience in commercial litigation or construction is a plus. Responsibilities Motion and discovery practice Manage cases from inception to close Engage in negotiations for settlements Carry out legal research Attend court hearings when required Conduct first meetings with potential clients Requirements and Qualifications Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school Florida Bar membership Litigation experience (4-5 years) Insurance defense experience Experience in commercial litigation or construction is a plus, not required Stable work history Excellent written and verbal communication skills Analytical skills Attention to detail They provide competitive and comprehensive benefit options that allow employees to design their own plans based on their needs.
