Head of IT

The Matchbox is seeking a Head of IT to own its technology infrastructure end-to-end across multiple business entities. The role combines hands-on IT administration, security, access management, troubleshooting, and technology strategy. This is a highly autonomous position where the Head of IT will work with the executive team to establish priorities, build the technology roadmap, and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Administration

• Manage Google Workspace, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, groups, permissions, and organizational structure.
• Manage IT infrastructure across multiple entities and business units with different tools, teams, and requirements.
• Troubleshoot macOS, software, connectivity, and other technical issues.
• Maintain IT documentation and improve technology-related processes.

Identity & Access Management

• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Administer role-based access, SSO, MFA, credentials, and permissions.
• Conduct access and permissions audits across Okta, Slack, and 1Password.
• Manage access to paid media platforms including Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and other advertising platforms.

Security & Compliance

• Configure and maintain security infrastructure, including access policies, tunnels, device posture, and network security.
• Maintain and improve the organization's security posture and access controls.
• Support compliance with relevant data privacy and security standards.

Technology Strategy & Project Management

• Set the IT roadmap in collaboration with the executive team.
• Prioritize incoming requests and ongoing initiatives based on business impact.
• Forecast project priorities, deadlines, and milestones.
• Research and evaluate new tools and technology approaches.
• Recommend or build solutions based on the underlying business need rather than simply choosing the fastest fix.
• Identify recurring issues and proactively improve processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing IT for a multi-entity or multi-branch organization.
• Deep hands-on experience with Google Workspace and the broader Google ecosystem.
• Experience with Google Ads, GA4, GTM, and Google Cloud/BigQuery is beneficial.
• Experience managing access and permissions across Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
• Hands-on experience administering Okta, Slack, and 1Password.
• Experience working in startup and SaaS environments.
• Strong background in user access management and security compliance.
• Strong working knowledge of macOS environments.
• Comfortable working independently without relying on a ticket queue.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities across a broad range of systems.
• Strong research and problem-solving mindset.
• Clear communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Asana.
• Familiarity with HubSpot.
• Familiarity with Zapier.
• Familiarity with Google Tag Manager.
• Experience supporting marketing agencies or professional services organizations.
