Assistant Professor of Physics

Overview The Department of Physics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in experimental or theoretical condensed matter physics. Successful candidates will connect with existing departmental research activity in solid-state quantum information processing, strongly correlated materials, biomaterials, mesoscopic devices and quantum transport, low-dimensional electronic systems, quantum many-body physics, and topological materials. Candidates must have a proven track record of innovation and high-impact research and are expected to build a vigorous, well-funded research program with international profile. Qualifications Ph.D. in Physics, with specialization in condensed matter or quantum condensed matter physics. A minimum of 1 year of postdoctoral research in experimental or theoretical condensed matter physics is required.
