The Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the dentist during clinical procedures. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring patient comfort and safety. Title Dental hygienist Job Description Key Responsibilities: Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth Conduct periodontal charting and assess oral health conditions Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride Assist the dentist with examinations and treatments when needed Maintain accurate and detailed patient records Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection-control protocols Review and update patients’ medical histories Monitor and maintain hygiene equipment and supplies Salary Range part-time $62 - $67 per hour Based on experience and skills.
