Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized critical care nursing services to patients in a Level I or II Trauma Center. Responsible for delivering advanced patient care, supervising staff, and coordinating treatment plans to promote patient recovery and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the immediate and ongoing care needs of critically ill patients and their families.
• Develop comprehensive, evidence-based care plans that address physical, psychosocial, and discharge needs.
• Administer and monitor complex interventions, including medication titration, CRRT, ventilator management, and invasive procedures.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff, ensuring quality and compliance with standards of care.
• Observe, evaluate, and document patient responses, communicating changes promptly to the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to nursing standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a BSN degree with 3-5 years of experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center.
• Demonstrate competency in CRRT machine operation, ventilator management, tracheostomy and gastrostomy tubes, and A-line procedures.
• Possess current licensure and certifications including TCAR, BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Show strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and ability to manage stressful situations effectively.
