Production Supervisor- 2nd Shift

Responsibilities and Tasks Providing guidance and leadership to all department personnel on assigned shift. Manage line efficiencies, key performance indicators, and downtime. Monitor the production process, conduct periodic checks, and adjust equipment or work practices in accordance with standard operating procedures. Ensure equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are safe at all times. Verify the production line's readiness at start-up. Manage overall product quality to ensure all standards and specifications. Assist employees with troubleshooting problems and coaching them through making the correct adjustments. Staff, train, evaluate, and develop team members. Champion for company -wide safety programs and initiatives Provide coaching, problem-solving, and team building for the department Requirements High school diploma or GED required with 2+ years supervising production staff. Basic computer and database application skills. Familiarity with manufacturing systems. Demonstrated leadership ability and strong communication skills. Ability to work within timelines and in pressure situations. Ability to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities. Schedule may include weekends. PREFERRED SKILLS: Bachelor's degree. Work Environment: Work is normally performed in a sub-zero freezer/warehouse/production environment. As part of the job requirements, the employee will be exposed to working in a warehouse setting with cold temperatures (-20 °C) at times.
