Lead Software Engineer - Java, Blockchain

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We need formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of hands-on experience coding in Java or Python.
• We look for practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We require experience developing, debugging, and supporting code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database query languages.
• We expect a solid understanding of the software development life cycle.
• We value familiarity with agile practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• We need knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
• We require experience with blockchain technologies, including public chains such as Ethereum.

• We look for demonstrated experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to set expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We expect a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security standards, plus experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant adoption.

• We participate in the design and development of scalable, resilient systems using Java or Python to support continuous, iterative improvements for product teams.
• We execute software solutions, including design work, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• We create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate synchronously with the appropriate systems.
• We produce or contribute to architecture and design documentation for applications while ensuring software code meets design constraints.
• We gather, analyze, synthesize, and visualize large and varied data sets to support ongoing improvement of applications and systems.
• We identify hidden issues and patterns in data and use those insights to improve coding standards and system architecture.
• We contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events focused on new and emerging technologies.
• We design and implement blockchain-based solutions, including smart contracts and decentralized applications on public chains such as Ethereum.
• We use AWS cloud services to architect, deploy, and manage scalable applications.
• We drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, while maintaining secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and reuse of effective patterns.
• We apply tools within the software development life cycle, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered by automation.
