TITLE: Dispatcher Assistant CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Customer Service REPORTS TO: Shipping Manager

Basic Function and Responsibilities

Print all paperwork needed for shipping packets, including profiles, layouts, forms, maps, delivery tickets. Orders permits for various states. Takes calls from drivers to assist with directions for deliveries. Coordinates assignments for light duty workers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of trucking function and delivery of manufactured goods
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Good phone and verbal communication skills
• Good written communication skills
• Ability to effectively coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to prioritize day and change on a dime
• Ability to work well with others productively
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to perform under pressure and deadlines
• Ability to work effectively with frequent interruptions
• Excellent organizational skills
