WHAT YOU'LL DO Prepare, proofread, format, and electronically file legal documents in California state and federal courts. Maintain litigation case files, prepare exhibits, draft proofs of service and other legal forms, and assist with hearing and trial preparation. Manage time entry, expense reports, incoming mail, and document service through electronic filing, USPS, UPS, and other delivery methods. Conduct legal research, coordinate with attorneys and administrative staff, and provide general office support, including answering a low volume of phone calls. Assist with document production, cite checking, and maintaining organized case records. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR At least 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal in a litigation-focused law firm. Previous litigation experience in a law firm supporting attorneys in California state and/or federal courts. Experience with PACER, Westlaw, electronic court filing, Microsoft Office (including Excel), and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of California court rules, federal court procedures, document formatting, exhibits, and legal correspondence. Strong proofreading, organization, typing, and written communication skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Frequent use of a keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office equipment. Ability to lift and carry files or office materials weighing up to 20 pounds. Ability to move throughout the office to coordinate with staff and manage documents. #J-18808-Ljbffr
