Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Emporia, Virginia

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2027-2028 school year in Emporia, VA. This onsite role involves providing specialized speech and language services to K-12 students, helping them improve communication skills and achieve academic success over the entire school year from August through June.


Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students across grades K-12
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, parents, and support staff
• Deliver direct therapy through both push-in and pull-out models as appropriate
• Maintain precise documentation and progress records in line with state and federal guidelines
• Actively participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid Virginia SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred
• Experience working with school-aged populations highly desirable
• Familiarity with pediatric and school-based caseloads beneficial

Location: Emporia, VA (onsite, school-based setting)

Employment Type: Full-Time, contract for the full 2027-2028 academic year

Schedule: Approximately 37.5 hours per week
