Job Title: GCP Data Architect
Technical/Functional Skills:
- Knowledge of development and maintenance of Canonical Data Models (CDM)
- Experience with domain-specific data models
- Knowledge of GenAI, LLM, and Agentic AI
- Experience defining and governing scientific ontologies and controlled vocabularies
- Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks
- Knowledge of data classification, data quality, lineage, retention, and GxP/regulatory compliance
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design enterprise data architecture aligned with Data Mesh and Data Fabric patterns
- Define domain-oriented data products with clear ownership and data contracts
- Develop and maintain Canonical Data Models (CDM) and domain-specific data models
- Ensure data consistency and interoperability across the GCP platform
- Define and enforce architecture standards, principles, and guidelines across the GCP platform and stakeholder organizations
- Collaborate with data engineers and platform teams to ensure architecture patterns are implementable, scalable, and aligned with GCP-native tooling
