Turnaround Cost AnalystHot JobMont Belvieu, TX - TXSalary Range $45.00 - $54.00 Hourly Level Experienced Position Type Contractor Job Shift Day Category AccountingDescriptionThe Turnaround Cost Analyst will support turnaround cost supervision, cost coordinators, cost analysts, project managers, and turnaround field coordinators in matters related to TAR cost during and outside of active turnarounds. The Cost Analyst is expected to have a general understanding of incurred cost and general ledger accounting, be able to present confidently in meetings, possess basic Microsoft skills, and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and vendors.Planning PhaseVendor quote review and validationUpdate and maintain PO logSetup vendors in ATOMIssue requisitionsVerify master service agreementsRequest and validate staffing plansExecution PhaseCompile Daily Force ReportingMaintain accurate employee rosters and badge numbers in ATOMCollect and validate per diem documentation and maintain per diem logTrack daily labor and per diem costsTrack daily equipment costsTrack daily material and shopwork costsPerform weekly reconciliations with vendorsMonitor incurred costs vs. PO value and advise as neededEnter PO change order requisitionsMonitor burn rates to support forecastQuestion lead planner of any delta between estimate breakdown and vendor reportingParticipate in pre-forecast PM meetingValidate and approve invoicesValidate ATOM data vs. Oracle dataPost-Turnaround PhaseContinue any processes outlined above for vendors performing work during post-TAR phaseConfirm final costs with vendorsClose purchase ordersOngoing EffortsDevelop and document process improvementsAct as the point of contact for assigned vendorsAssist coworkers as neededParticipate in daily/weekly cost meetingsDevelop familiarity with turnaround cost toolAssist with ad hoc requestsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years' experience in administrative, cost tracking, or project controls roles within oil & gas, petrochemical, or turnaround environments.Strong understanding of turnaround lifecycle and cost control principles.Experience with ATOM, Toadfly, IPS, and Oracle E-Business Suite (financial module preferred).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with internal teams and external contractors.
