We are looking for a team player who is detail oriented with strong analytical and interpersonal skills to help us maintain timely and accurate financials. If you are an experienced professional with a positive attitude and strong aptitude for financial systems, this may be the opportunity for you.Responsibilities:Perform month-end close process for revenue and related assigned areas to ensure they are recorded accurately, timely, and in accordance with internal policiesSupport the monthly & quarterly close processes for revenue, accounts receivable, & unbilled ARPrepare journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysisEnsure accurate and timely monthly/quarterly closeContinuously improve and refine existing processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy of team deliverablesEnsure compliance of financial reporting, internal controls, and maintain proper SOX documentationsProvide various schedules, analysis, and variance trend analysis as requiredPerform ad-hoc/special projects as requiredJob Requirements / Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.CPA or candidate preferred2+ years of accounting work experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive informationAnalytical skills including ability to review large amounts of dataUnderstanding of revenue cycle systems and operationsExceptional organization and time-management skillsExperience in, or exposure to, subsystems such as Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft DynamicsMust be comfortable independently evaluating a situation, exercising judgment, and independently making decisions.Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is below. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions.
