Nanny - Recurring Fridays near Ann Arbor

Overview Our family is looking for a warm, dependable caregiver to become a consistent part of our Fridays. We are in Northfield Township (South Lyon) just north of Ann Arbor, Michigan. We have two young children: a curious toddler (2) and an adventurous baby (10 months). The toddler attends a Waldorf-inspired nature daycare Monday through Thursday; the baby will attend in the near future. Fridays are intentionally slower, with time to explore at home, play outdoors, and simply enjoy being children. We live on 10 wooded acres in Northfield Township (South Lyon - North of Ann Arbor), surrounded by maple woods, wildlife, gardens, and plenty of room to roam. You might spend the morning watching deer in the field, exploring woodland trails, digging in the sandbox, reading books together, gardening, collecting treasures from nature, or following the children's curiosity wherever it leads. Schedule Fridays, approximately 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Long-term preferred Additional opportunities may occasionally be available during daycare closures, school breaks, or date nights if desired About the role We are looking for someone who naturally enjoys being outside, isn’t afraid of muddy boots or changing weather, and believes children learn through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships. You certainly don’t need to be a Waldorf teacher, as many different backgrounds could be a wonderful fit. If these ideas resonate with you, we’d love to connect! Qualifications & expectations We’re looking for someone who is dependable, kind, calm, communicative, and genuinely enjoys these ages. Experience with infants and toddlers is appreciated, but just as important is someone who delights in childhood and enjoys creating a peaceful, engaging day.
