Job Summary

Join our dedicated nursing team as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse at a Critical Access Hospital in Hamilton, Montana. This role involves providing comprehensive, professional nursing care to a diverse patient population across the age spectrum, managing various acuities within the Medical-Surgical unit.

You will be responsible for evaluating the nursing process, accurately documenting patient findings in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and directing patient care activities. This position requires strong collaboration with ancillary staff and clear communication with providers and colleagues to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, professional nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients of varying acuities and age groups.
• Apply and evaluate the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Direct and coordinate patient care activities, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, ancillary staff, and other healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
• Communicate changes in patient condition and relevant information clearly and concisely to providers and interdisciplinary team members.
• Advocate for patient needs and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Demonstrated experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
• Ability to provide comprehensive nursing care in a Critical Access Hospital environment.
