Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education
• Experience in working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a school setting
• Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
• Ability to create and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Familiarity with current assistive technologies and best practices for DHH instruction
• Willingness to travel between multiple schools within the district

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, adapting methods and materials to meet diverse needs
• Assess student progress and participate in developing, updating, and implementing IEPs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure a supportive and accessible learning environment
• Serve as a resource and advocate for students, families, and school personnel on topics related to hearing loss and accommodations
• Integrate technology and visual communication strategies to promote student engagement and independence
• Travel between assigned campuses to deliver services and facilitate inclusion across the district
