General ManagerThe General Manager (GM) is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multi-family construction projects at assigned branch. The GM ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, all while meeting client and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing multiple projects simultaneously, leading a team of project managers, superintendents, estimators, an administrative team, and coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and clients. Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure that safety protocols and quality standards are consistently followed.Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring all parties meet project specifications, timelines, and budget requirements.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.Knowledge, Skills, Ability, & ExperienceMust have 8+ years' multi-family/restoration/construction experienceMust have 5+ years of experience as a people leaderPreferred – Bachelor's degree in Construction ManagementExperience effectively communicating across different levels of the organizationKnowledge of and experience in cost containment and risk managementIntermediate Microsoft Office skills and Xactimate (and other estimating software) proficiency requiredStrong problem-solving skillsExtensive knowledge in construction estimatingStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same timeStrong ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholdersPossess excellent attention to detailAbility to make sound decisions that positively affect project and profit outcomesAbility to work independently as a self-starterMust be able to work on-site at an office or jobsite as neededMust be able to travel regionally or nationally as neededMust be able to work overtime as needed to ensure job successMust have a satisfactory driving record per insurance requirements
