Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care Float Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a critical care float pool position. This role requires a strong background in critical care, with the flexibility to float among various critical care units as needed. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; proficiency in telemetry is a must.
- Handle advanced interventions including the management of ventilators, IV starts, and conscious sedation.
- Contribute to patient assessments and implement care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic charting system.
- Participate in education and training activities, given the academic environment.
- Active RN license with recent ICU experience (within the last year) required.
- A minimum of 3 years of critical care experience, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Certifications: BCLS and ACLS are required; TNCC is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in telemetry and dysrhythmia management, with a testing requirement.
- Experience with ICP monitoring and PA Lines is preferred.
- Must be able to work weekends, with every other weekend required.
- References must come from a direct supervisor, not a charge RN.
- Recent ICU experience and strong critical care skills are essential for success in this role.
- Daily onsite parking is available for a fee, with options for offsite parking within a short shuttle distance.
