Veterinary Assistant

Overview

Great patient care starts with the people willing to do the little things right.

The most important thing you do all day won't be on the chart. It's the treat you slip a nervous beagle the second his vaccine is over. It's the extra minute you spend telling his owner exactly what to watch for tonight. Nobody schedules it, and it's the part clients remember. That's a day as a Veterinary Assistant at Grace Animal Hospital in Lexington, SC, where Fear Free handling is part of every appointment. We're hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant.

About the Practice
We care for pets in Lexington, Gilbert, Irmo, Columbia, Batesburg, and the surrounding areas. We're AAHA accredited, a Cat Friendly Practice, and Fear Free certified, and our readers have voted us Best of Lexington in Lexington Life Magazine every year from 2010 through 2026. Our services include dentistry with digital X-ray, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, diagnostic imaging, behavior and training, and walk-in urgent care. We also sponsor the dogs of Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services, who help children and adults with physical disabilities and social needs. We believe great medicine takes great teamwork, so our team members support one another, keep learning, and take pride in the work.
