Job Opportunity: Spine Neurosurgeon
Our organization is actively looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible fellowship-trained Spine Neurosurgeon to become a part of our collaborative practice. The ideal candidate should have 4 to 10 years of experience post-residency, with a solid foundation in general neurosurgery alongside their fellowship training. A specialization in minimally invasive spine surgery is highly desirable.
Position OverviewJoin a vibrant practice that emphasizes complex spine procedures, including:
- Pediatric and adult spinal deformity surgery
- Functional neurosurgery
- Tumor and skull base surgery
- Cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery
Our team consists of nine fellowship-trained neurosurgeons, along with a skilled group of physiatrists, osteopaths, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, and nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in shared call responsibilities, approximately 1:8, covering both cranial and spine cases.
- Utilize 24/7 access to CT and MRI facilities.
- Collaborate with a dedicated neurocritical care team available around the clock.
Our medical center, licensed for 700 beds, is the largest in the state and includes:
- The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital, the only dedicated pediatric facility in Maine, featuring 116 beds.
- The only ACS-verified Level 1 Trauma Center in Maine.
Neurosurgery & Spine is a vital part of our Neuroscience Service Line, recognized as a regional center of excellence in neurosciences.
Desired Qualifications- Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship or specialty training.
- A strong background in general neurosurgery.
- A collaborative approach to patient care.
