Role Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and elderly demographics using both standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
• Design individualized therapy plans that cater to immediate objectives and sustained communication, cognitive, or swallowing capabilities.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy interventions, addressing language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing concerns.
• Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate integrated treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and families to bolster progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the therapeutic process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Stay abreast of developments in the field through ongoing education and professional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized academic institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Required Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandated within 30 days of employment commencement.
