You will utilize your clinical expertise to perform physical examinations, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, and contribute to treatment plans that improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and intake procedures, to gather essential clinical information.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement diagnostic and treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and ensure compliance with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, injection administration (including botulinum toxin treatments), and aseptic techniques for infection control.
• Interpret diagnostic tests including radiology, laboratory results, and cardiac catheterization data to inform clinical decisions.
• Manage acute pain cases, ventilator support, ICU care, and critical care procedures within a Level I or Level II trauma center environment.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner), maintaining HIPAA compliance and ensuring data integrity.
• Participate in clinical research projects or clinical trials to advance medical knowledge and improve patient care standards.
• Provide telehealth consultations when appropriate, utilizing telemedicine platforms to extend care access.
• Assist in discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, and client education for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal patients, and hospice & palliative medicine cases.

Requirements

Required

• Degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program
• Current NCCPA certification (PA-C) in good standing
• Texas PA license
• 1+ years in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, or urgent care
• Able to independently manage common outpatient acute and chronic conditions, and sound judgment about when to involve a physician
• Comfortable with EMR documentation, e-prescribing, and closing charts same-day
• Clean background check, credentialing, and payer enrollment; no restrictions on your license or exclusions from federal healthcare programs
