Custodial and Maintenance Worker

Under general supervision – plan, direct, supervises or perform routine cleaning, grounds-keeping, and variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on school buildings and equipment and does related work as required. Qualifications: Required: Education equivalent to completion of 12th grade. Five (5) years experience in custodial and maintenance work including two (2) years of supervising employees. Valid Class lll California Driver's License. Desirable: School related experience This position is part of the Classified Employee Unit at MCUSD/MCOE and will be placed depending on experience on the Classified Employee Salary schedule on Range 19. Please note the 2025-26 & 2026-27 salary schedule is pending - salary is currently based on the 2024-25 salary schedule. This position serves at our Mariposa County High School and is 8 hours per day for 261 days a year (12 months). The Mariposa County Unified School District is located in Mariposa County and serves grades K-12. With approximately 1,700 students, the area consists of several necessary small schools, K-8 schools, and one comprehensive high school. Mariposa County has several rural communities that surround Yosemite National Park and are centrally located in California to provide a day's drive to old-growth forests, deserts, coastal communities, and cities. The area is suited for those interested in outdoor activities and rural community life.
