Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Director of Nursing for Lava Heights Academy in Toquerville, Utah and Falcon Ridge Ranch in Virgin, Utah Lava Heights Academy and Falcon Ridge Ranch are residential treatment programs that provide a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for vulnerable young women who are referred from juvenile courts and social service agencies both locally and across the country. The youth enter the program with a history of abuse, neglect, trauma, substance abuse, mental illness and violence. They graduate from Falcon Ridge Ranch as educated young women who have overcome challenges and have demonstrated making healthy choices for themselves and for their future . Pay : $80,000 per year, depending on experience. ROP-benefits-and-perks-2 What you will do: The Director of Nursing oversees the medical department for both of our Southern Utah campuses. You will conduct our physical and psychiatric evaluations for new clients as well as any periodic update. You will oversee psychiatric medication management ensuring that the clients are treated correctly. You will assist in communication for insurance claims as well as interaction with client’s parents, guardians, and case workers. Additionally, you approve client treatment plans and review potential clients for suitability for our program. To be considered you should: Be at least 21 years of age Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN), Master's Degree Preferred Be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a patient-centered approach Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic office software Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver: possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
