Key Responsibilities Prepare and keep clean work area for installation of equipment Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes. Installs controls and distribution gear, such as switches, panel boards, disconnects and Inverters Analyze proper fastening system for equipment support Terminate wiring and equipment as per code or job specification Connect power cables to equipment such as Disconnects, Panel boards, Inverters, motors, and transformer per manufacturer specs and permitted drawings. Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams/blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring. Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments such as Amp probe, clamp meter and voltage meter. Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement. Installs all solar related components AC and DC electric per plan. Installs Solar modules and racking per plans Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required Education High School Degree or GED Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience Vocational School or approved apprenticeship training Skills & Requirements Minimum 18 years of age Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record Successful Pre‑Employment Drug and Agility tests Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall Ability to lift 100 LBS or more Working Conditions | Environment | Special Requirements Full time onsite Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, State and Federal regulations.
