Acute Inpatient Registered Nurse - RN - Dialysis

Role: Inpatient RN providing direct patient care across multiple dialysis modalities including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and Apheresis. Responsibilities: Deliver safe, effective, and timely care; assess patient responses; adjust treatment plans; communicate with healthcare team; supervise Patient Care Technicians and ICU staff; document treatments accurately; prepare and operate dialysis equipment; perform safety and calibration tests; participate in quality activities and staff training; report incidents; ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Qualifications & Skills: Current state licensure, RN experience, nephrology expertise (minimum 6 months), strong assessment skills, leadership capability, CPR certification, organizational skills, and knowledge of dialysis equipment and procedures. ICU experience and additional certifications such as Nephrology or Apheresis nursing are preferred. Work Environment: Involves direct patient interaction, travel between facilities, on‑call duties, and exposure to infectious materials. Requires physical effort including lifting and moving heavy equipment and patients. Supervisory duties include guiding PCTs and clerical staff.
