Senior Power Platform Strategy & Automation Consultant

Overview Senior Power Platform Strategy & Automation Consultant with AG Consulting Partners, Inc. This temporary engagement is expected to run through the end of the 2025 calendar year, with the possibility of extension through June 2026. The role requires being onsite in Redmond, WA four days per week for candidates based in the Greater Seattle area. Responsibilities Systems Design & Architecture: Use analytical thinking and a consultative approach to design end-to-end systems based on business processes. Investigate, document, and develop comprehensive designs for implementation using Power Platform technologies. Flow Design & Authoring: Translate high-level requirements into functional cloud flows. Build workflows with correct triggers, actions, and logic in tools such as Teams or ADO, based on natural language descriptions. Low-Code Function Writing: Develop or suggest low-code solutions using Power Fx formulas or small JavaScript snippets in custom connectors to enhance automation workflows. Parent-Child Flow Creation: Design modular, reusable workflows by creating parent-child flow structures and managing orchestration between sub-flows. Guided Flow Editing: Act as an AI-assisted partner within the flow editor, providing real-time suggestions and leveraging Copilot to create and modify flows using natural language. Flow Monitoring & Enhancement: Track workflow performance and proactively implement improvements or automated fixes (e.g., retry policies) to ensure reliable operations. Requirements 7+ years building and supporting enterprise automation solutions, with deep hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Automate (cloud flows, desktop flows/RPA). This is the primary requirement. Candidates must be based in the Greater Seattle area and available to work onsite in Redmond, WA four days per week. Local candidates who meet this onsite requirement will be considered. Strong communication: escalate when requirements are unclear or a manual review is needed (e.g., post a message in Teams or create an Azure DevOps item). Knowledge of Power Automate & Logic Apps frameworks: connectors, triggers, actions, and common workflow patterns; familiar with standard connectors (SharePoint, email, databases, etc.). Experience advising clients on automation strategy, change enablement, and user adoption. Familiarity with AI Builder, Microsoft Graph, and Azure OpenAI integrations. Error Handling & Analytics: parse flow run logs, identify common failure reasons, and apply remedies (e.g., reauthenticate a connection). Proven ability to independently own and resolve complex flow issues and deliver durable fixes. Hands-on experience designing and editing workflows using Copilot Studio or similar AI-assisted tools. Experience building workflows from natural language requirements using AI-powered automation tools. Ability to write and optimize Power Fx formulas and lightweight JavaScript to extend automation capabilities. Nice to have Microsoft certifications (PL-100, PL-200, PL-400, Power Platform App Maker/Developer). Experience integrating AI-powered Copilot APIs into enterprise workflows. Power Apps (Canvas/Model-driven) and Dataverse design experience. Azure Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, or similar Azure integration services. Experience with source control/ALM for Power Platform and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions). Familiarity with creating self-healing automations, anomaly detection, and retry logic. Experience with monitoring (Application Insights, Log Analytics, Power Platform analytics) and creating Power BI dashboards for telemetry. RPA/UI automation experience and familiarity with attended/unattended automation patterns. Prior consulting or vendor experience supporting multiple product teams. Compensation The compensation for this position reflects the candidate’s skill set and experience.
