Work Environment

You will work in a dynamic, onsite rehabilitation center that emphasizes play-based therapy techniques. Our facility features a variety of engaging spaces designed to accommodate different therapeutic activities, including sensory rooms and outdoor playgrounds. This full-time role is scheduled from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent routine that benefits both staff and patients. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and deliver personalized, developmentally appropriate physical therapy to infants, toddlers, and children with diverse conditions, including neuromuscular disorders, orthopedic issues, genetic conditions, and developmental delays.
• Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized care plans that set achievable functional goals aimed at enhancing mobility, independence, and daily life participation.
• Utilize creative, play-based methodologies to engage children in therapy sessions, transforming conventional exercises into enjoyable activities that motivate young patients.
• Foster collaborative relationships with parents and caregivers, providing them with education about therapeutic processes, home exercises, and behavioral strategies to promote progress.
• Maintain accurate records using our user-friendly electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring documentation is thorough and reflects the ongoing progress of each child.
• Actively contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as we cultivate a culture of lifelong learning within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary responsibility will be to support children with physical challenges, offering targeted interventions that can significantly enhance their quality of life. The patient population you will serve consists of children from infants up to 18 years old, with a variety of conditions. This role's focus on pediatric care allows you to witness firsthand the joy and achievements that come with helping children reach their developmental milestones.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Must possess a valid Physical Therapist license or be license-eligible in the State of California.

Compensation and Benefits

Fortis Motion LLC offers a competitive compensation package that ranges between $110,000 and $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
