Job Description

MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DC BARBER OR COSMETOLOGY LICENSE.

Earn $18.40–$50+/hour through hourly pay, tips, commissions, and bonuses. All tools and products provided.

Hammer & Nails Dupont is a two-level luxury men’s grooming shop in the heart of Dupont Circle. We have a full bar, membership-based clientele, multiple grooming services under one roof, and private and public events.

We’re looking for talented, reliable barbers who take pride in their craft and understand that the guest experience matters just as much as the haircut.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Active DC Barber or Cosmetology License
Strong skills in men’s cuts, fades & straight-razor shaves
Reliable, professional and team-oriented
Detail-oriented with pride in your work
Strong communication and guest service
Available nights, weekends and some holidays

2+ years of experience preferred. Gray camo, waxing, skincare and additional grooming skills are a plus.

**Hammer & Nails Dupont** is a Black-owned, woman-owned and veteran-owned luxury men’s grooming shop in the heart of Dupont Circle.

Our two-level space is designed around the whole man, offering expert barbering, beard care, manicures, pedicures, skincare, waxing and more, all under one roof. Guests can also head downstairs to our full-service bar to keep the experience going.

No crowded nail salons. No rushed appointments. No one-size-fits-all experience. Just elevated grooming, exceptional service and a space designed specifically for men.
