Part-Time Phlebotomist/Front Desk

The Opportunity As a Part-Time One Medical Phlebotomist/Front Desk (Lab Services Specialist/Member Support Specialist) you’ll provide an exceptional experience for our patients by performing venipuncture and other clinical support services. You will be an ambassador for patients, ensuring the lobby looks and feels on brand, and acting as the first point of contact for all inquiries. You are a strong team player who uses innovative problem‑solving skills to tackle tasks and challenges. You combine excellent specimen collection technique with tactful interpersonal skills, leveraging strong communication to deliver patient‑centric solutions while upholding empathy, focus, and compassion. Responsibilities Use the C‑I‑CARE framework for all patient interactions, managing intake, same‑day schedules, follow‑ups, billing knowledge, and outreach. Provide venipuncture services across all age groups, depending on the office location. Perform and assist with extended scope duties such as non‑blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs. Maintain specimen labeling, handling, processing, inventory, and tool sterilization to the highest standards. Support members beyond the lab by responding to messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting with clerical duties including biometric screening, record review, billing inquiries, and DOH reporting. Execute front‑house duties: check‑in/out, insurance verification, paperwork, test prep, and service level expectations. Contribute to team development via rounding, huddles, problem solving, and ad‑hoc support for providers. Perform opening and closing duties, maintaining the look and feel of patient and employee spaces, restocking supplies, and organization. Master the technology suite (Slack, G‑suite, Zoom, Circulation, RingCentral, and the Electronic Medical Record System) to collaborate and complete daily work. Requirements A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside training environments. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build effective relationships and deliver customer‑centric solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication. High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in computer technology: typing, internet navigation, and multitasking across software systems. Experience working collaboratively with diverse, multidisciplinary teams (remote team experience a plus). Confidence and trust‑building skills during the collection process. A proven ability to persist through change, take action on challenges, and learn quickly when faced with new situations or tasks. Salary and Hours Competitive salary: starts at $19 per hour based on a part‑time schedule. This is a part‑time role, working 24+ hours per week on 8‑hour shifts. Availability is required Monday–Saturday, between 7 AM and 7 PM. The position is based in‑person at the Pembroke Pines, FL office.
