QC Inspector Full Time Manual Labor Leominster, MA, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 1154 Salary Range: $18.00 To $22.00 Hourly JOB DESCRIPTION DEPARTMENT: Quality Control FLSA: NON-EXEMPT SUMMARY: This position is responsible for testing and verifying products manufactured on various machines. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Comply with all safety guidelines and protocols to create a safe working environment and minimize workplace hazards. Participate in training related to operation of machine and related paperwork, increase knowledge and awareness to identify material that is substandard and report to supervisor, as required. Conduct in-process checks as machines are being set up to run. Perform any lab tests as required on products to confirm compliance with specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Document all results by completing inspection logs and reports, then input data into the QC database. Perform other similar and related duties as assigned or instructed by supervisor. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to read measurements via tape measure/ruler, OD tape, Caliper, and a Micrometer Ability to read and understand product drawings and instructions. Knowledge of current OSHA safety rules and regulations Good communication skills and patience. Ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequently required to stand. Frequently required to walk. FreqContinually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity. Frequently works near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals. Occasionally/Frequently/Continually exposed to extreme heat or cold (non-weather). While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually ____ loud.
