What You'll Do

• Manage high-risk neonates and infants within a Level III NICU
• Conduct patient assessments and interpret diagnostic tests
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and support staff
• Attending deliveries and performing neonatal procedures
• Educate families and provide family-centered care
• Participate in rounding and daily patient care activities
• Support maternal-fetal medicine consultations when needed

What You Need

• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license
• Completion of a 12-month Neonatal PA fellowship or residency
• Ability to exercise autonomy in clinical decision-making
• Experience in NICU or neonatal care preferred

• Experience with high-volume deliveries
• Strong procedural and diagnostic skills
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

About the Assignment This opportunity is with a well-established provider supporting high-acuity neonatal care at a prominent Portland hospital. The role involves managing complex neonatal cases in a Level III NICU setting, working in a collaborative team environment, and offering critical family-centered care. Both hospital sitesProvidence St. Vincent and Providence Portland Medical Centersfeature Level III NICUs, with the smaller PSV facility caring for sicker patients requiring intensive support, and Portland Medical Center handling a higher patient volume with less intensive acuity. Shifts are flexible, with options for in-hospital 12-hour or 24-hour coverage. Providers will work closely with neonatal physicians, support staff, and families to ensure excellent care.
