Store Manager in Training

Overview The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) role is a development‑focused position designed to prepare candidates for a CVS Store Manager position. The program runs over 16 weeks, combining virtual training and on‑the‑job learning. Responsibilities Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to support and lead your store team. Perform customer care duties to maintain high service levels. Execute merchandising strategies to support sales growth. Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Actively engage with your District Leader and other mentors in key learning experiences. Support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner that is consistent with CVS values and policies. Engage colleagues in support of the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. Be willing to accept promotion roles within your market. Qualifications Willingness to accept a Store Manager promotion at any location in the designated market. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the market. Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. High school diploma or GED (required); a bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant retail management or CVS Supervisor experience. A four‑year college degree is preferred, or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Pay & Benefits Anticipated Weekly Hours: 45 Time Type: Full time Pay Range: $18.50 – $28.67 per hour (based on experience, education, geography, and other factors).
