Job Summary:

Avir at Camp Wood is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our exceptional healthcare team at our Camp Wood, Texas, location. As a key member of our leadership team, the DON will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring that all patient care services are delivered in accordance with our organization's mission and values

• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that align with regulatory standards and industry best practices

• Lead and manage a team of professional nurses and support staff, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure exceptional patient outcomes

• Collaborate with other departments, including medical staff, radiology, and environmental services, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Joint Commission, CMS, and Texas Department of State Health Services standards

• Participate in budget planning and management, ensuring that departmental expenses are managed effectively and efficiently

• Foster a culture of inclusivity, respect, and open communication among staff, patients, and families

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP preferred)

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting

• Current Texas RN license and CPR certification

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

• Strong analytical and budgeting skills
