Manufacturing Associate

Manufacturing Associate position at Amgen's Thousand Oaks Drug Substance facility supporting development, clinical, and commercial manufacturing activities. Role involves hands-on operations, process monitoring, GMP compliance, and documentation within a 24/7 shift environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on operations: setup, cleaning, sanitization, and preparation of media and buffers per SOPs
- Monitor critical manufacturing processes and complete validation protocols
- Draft and revise routine manufacturing documents including batch records and technical reports
- Initiate quality incidents and identify improvements to routine functions
- Train operators on critical processes and assist in documentation review for assigned functions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 6 months manufacturing/operations experience, or High school diploma/GED with 2 years manufacturing/operations experience
- Availability for non-standard shifts including graveyard and weekends
- Knowledge of GMP practices and regulatory compliance (CFR)
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and draft routine manufacturing documents
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of chemistry, biology, and physical principles as applied to manufacturing
