Registered Nurse - ER

11p-7a - Scheduled days would be based on unit needs Preferred Experience: 2 yrs Pediatric ED experience Scrub color: Navy scrubs/Navy or black scrub pants (taken from image policy) The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care using the standards of care and the standards of professional performance outlined by the American Nurses Association and the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN interacts with an interdisciplinary team to promote the optimal health potential of the patient and family, delivering proficient nursing care based on a detailed assessment of the patient/family needs and the hospital mission. The RN promotes a patient and family experience-oriented environment and acts as a change agent to meet the rapidly changing census and needs of all customers-both internal and external. Education: • BSN Required Certification - ideal candidate will need to have all of the following: • Active and unrestricted RN License in Ohio • CPR • PALS Float expectations: As noted, they will be expected to float across all of our ED sites (Main, Crisis Center at Mathile) as well as inpatient units when necessary. May have to be assigned to South ED based on staffing need Will work in the Mental Health Crisis Center as part of ED RN rotation • Will follow DCH cooperative staffing guidelines - If ED census low - will be required to float to Specialty Pediatric Units (Med/Surg), PICU, NICU or Transitional Care Unit. RN will be responsible for care of 1-4 patients based on patient acuity and the unit. It will be expected to manage patient team assigned by the unit.
