Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift, 7 PM - 7 AM.
We are seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia, diabetes, and preterm labor. Familiarity with Cerner is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients during labor and delivery.
- Monitor and assess maternal and fetal conditions throughout the labor process.
- Administer medications and manage pain relief options for laboring patients.
- Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on care practices, potential complications, and aftercare.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- NRP certification.
- AWHONN certification.
Holiday Expectations:
MUST work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) AND 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
