Per Diem MRI Technologist

Job Responsibilities Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures and functions that require independent judgment and ingenuity with minimal supervision, on members/patients of all age groups. Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol, ensuring proper documentation. Assume responsibilities for designated areas of MRI Equipment, producing high-quality technical images and reviewing completed exams for quality and completeness. Troubleshoot departmental technical issues according to correct procedural guidelines. Practice and employ ALARA principles for all patients and members. Ensure all QC sheets are completed accurately. Review schedule for any gaps in coverage. Compensation $80-100/hr Qualifications Must be proficient and registered/certified in MRI ARRT. High school diploma plus a degree from a 2-year AMA approved Radiology school. NY State DOH Registration as Radiologic Technologist. NYS DOH Certification for Injection preferred. Ability to independently perform MRI procedures at a tech level in accordance with protocols. Maintain proper quality control procedures. Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams, safety, and equipment. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
