Job Title: Furniture Sprayer Tech Job Location (City, State and Zipcode): Thomasville, NC 27360 Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $16-17/hr based on experience + $1.25/hr on time bonus Job Description: A Furniture Sprayer (or Spray Painter) applies paints, varnishes, lacquers, and stains to furniture using spray equipment to achieve a high-quality, smooth finish. Key responsibilities include preparing surfaces (sanding, cleaning), mixing finishes, operating spray guns, and maintaining equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of coating materials. Core Responsibilities: Surface Preparation: Sanding, cleaning, masking, and priming furniture surfaces (wood, metal, plastic) to ensure proper adhesion. Applying Finishes: Operating pneumatic spray guns to apply lacquer, varnish, stain, or paint to furniture pieces according to specifications. Mixing/Color Matching: Mixing coatings, stains, and lacquers to achieve desired colors and finishes. Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning, troubleshooting, and repairing spray guns and tools. Quality Control: Inspecting finished products to ensure consistency, quality, and a defect-free appearance. Safety Compliance: Adhering to OSHA regulations, using proper PPE (masks, respirators), and maintaining a clean work environment. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: Proven experience in furniture finishing, painting, or operating spray equipment. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of different types of wood finishes, paints, and stains. Attention to Detail: Ability to achieve flawless finishes and identify defects.
