Mainframe Engineer/Developer

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Engineer/Developer to join our high-energy technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, developing, testing, and supporting mainframe code while ensuring smooth integration across development, test, and production environments. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, and DB2. Debug and troubleshoot application issues efficiently to ensure system reliability. Collaborate with environment and deployment teams to support migration from development to production. Perform code reviews, maintain documentation, and adhere to coding standards. Support ongoing improvements in system performance, scalability, and stability. Communicate effectively with partners and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges. Participate in migration and deployment processes, including Endeavor and secure file transfers (SFTP/AWXAY). Required Skills: 5+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe coding and debugging. 5+ years of experience with COBOL and CICS. 3–5 years of experience working with DB2, VSAM, MQ, and JCL. Preferred Skills: Strong understanding of CICS systems and dynamic transaction routing processes. Experience using DB2 tools, File-Aid, debuggers, and schedulers. Familiarity with core Java and front-end technologies (Angular) is a plus. Knowledge of Endeavor Software Manager migration processes. Experience with SFTP/AWXAY secure file transfer methods. Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in team environments. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
