US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our team at Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ to assist Provider(s) in daily operations of his/her clinic and patient care.Responsibilities:Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patientsInterviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information in patients’ charts.Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipmentCleans and sterilizes instrumentsInventories and orders medical supplies and materialsOperates electrocardiograph (EKG), treadmill, and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for testsGives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory testsScreens telephone calls for physiciansPreps patients for Treadmill Stress TestsPerforms Treadmill Stress Tests as requiredReturns patient phone callsCalls in patient prescriptionsAnswers triage callsTravel requiredOther related duties may be assignedRequirements:Completion of a Medical Assistant programCardiac ExperienceKnowledge in medical terminologyAbility to effectively communicateWhy Choose Us?Comprehensive benefits packageMonda-Friday ScheduleCME allowanceAbout Tucson, AZ:Located in PIMA county, Tucson is considered the soul of the Sonoran Desert and the flavor of the Southwest, making it a hotspot for outdoor enthusiasts.
