Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift: 3x12.0 hours

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants and plays a crucial role in promoting patient and employee safety.

• Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis.
• Provide timely patient information and status for team conferences.
• Utilize the nursing process for direct patient care, focusing on education.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission, along with patient teaching.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status.
• Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Participate in team building and maintain a positive work environment.
• Monitor supplies and equipment to ensure cost-effective care delivery.
• Assume charge responsibility as needed and pursue professional development.
• Perform other duties as requested.

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
• Active nursing license in the state of application is desired.
• Recent ICU experience is highly desired.
