Sanitation Operator

Sanitation Operator Location: Monticello, WI Wage: $17/Hour Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Schedule 3rd Shift: Monday–Thursday: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM Overtime may be required on Fridays Position Overview This sanitation operator plays a key role in maintaining product quality and a clean manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively monitor food safety practices, perform inspections, verify equipment accuracy, and help ensure all products meet company and regulatory standards. Primary Responsibilities Monitor production and maintenance activities to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Conduct inspections of finished products and production documentation to verify compliance with established specifications. Examine incoming cheese deliveries and outgoing shipments for quality, accuracy, and specification requirements. Verify the accuracy of scales, thermometers, printers, and other monitoring devices used in production. Perform routine sanitation and cleaning activities in processing areas and throughout the facility. Support food safety programs by identifying and reporting any quality or sanitation concerns. Maintain accurate records related to inspections, verifications, and compliance checks. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Qualifications Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with team members Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards. Comfortable working in hot, cold, wet, or humid production environments. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move equipment as needed. Previous manufacturing, food production, sanitation, or quality assurance experience is preferred but not required.
