Risk Reporting and Governance Senior Analyst

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Risk Reporting & Governance Senior Analyst to support a Non-Financial Risk (NFR) organization within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and delivering critical reporting and dashboard solutions that support executive decision-making, risk oversight, and governance activities.

This position addresses a key analytics gap created during the implementation of a new Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform. The successful candidate will take ownership of reporting operations, ensuring continuity, accuracy, and transparency across risk management processes while partnering with stakeholders across risk, compliance, technology, and business functions.

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions supporting risk and governance functions.
• Develop and optimize data models, DAX calculations, and visualizations to enable meaningful business insights.
• Curate, validate, and transform data from multiple sources to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
• Support reporting and analytics related to:
  • Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA)
  • Issues Management
  • Testing and Monitoring Activities
  • Operational Risk Execution Metrics
  • Governance and Management Reporting
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, technology, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions that address evolving business needs.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable reporting and visualization frameworks.
• Perform data quality assurance, reconciliation, and validation activities to maintain data integrity.
• Support reporting continuity and data migration efforts during the transition to a new GRC platform.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, automation, and overall business intelligence capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience within financial services, or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of Non-Financial Risk, Operational Risk, or Enterprise Risk Management frameworks.
• Advanced expertise in Power BI, including:
  • Data Modeling
  • DAX
  • Power Query
  • Dashboard Development
  • Visualization Design and Best Practices
• Experience with GRC platforms (SmartSuite, Archer, ServiceNow).
• Strong experience in data analysis, data curation, and data quality management.
• Proven ability to independently manage reporting initiatives from requirements gathering through deployment.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
