Field Service Technician II - SEA in Seattle

Job Responsibilities Meet daily service repair needs and drive customer satisfaction. Install, repair, and maintain equipment in the field; provide customer training as required. Document all inspections, maintenance, and repair work and submit paperwork on time. Order, install, and return parts and manage repair parts cycle time. Review all logs for open issues and prepare formal reports to customers as necessary. Participate in Service Sales opportunities and help promote and implement revenue programs. Ensure tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated. Assess product/equipment performance based on field support data; recommend modifications or improvements. Provide technical support to customers and other service professionals as required. Participate in site surveys, pilot program service activities, attend meetings. Possess basic technical knowledge of the company’s Trace and X‑Ray technologies. Maintain clear and concise business communication, both oral and written. Establish and maintain close relationships with senior level FSEs and Product Managers to support customer needs and stay aware of technical trends. Exercise every available measure to control and minimize costs. Travel, overtime, and work hours outside Monday‑Friday may be required. Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety, and environmental policies. Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Education/Training: Associate’s Degree or related trade certification in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or military training (electrical, mechanical, or electronics). Equivalent work and life experience of 1‑3 years is acceptable. Experience: Minimum of 1‑3 years directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment. Knowledge/Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong customer focus, teamwork, responsiveness to customer issues at all times, willingness and ability to travel on short notice. Supervision: May supervise others on a project basis, but not a primary responsibility. Background: Requires Sensitive Security Information access and TSA vetting; applicant must pass a federal background investigation. Physical / Mental Requirements Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask several projects at once. Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle stressful situations. Self‑motivated, reliable, and accountable. Good telephone skills. Ability to lift/carry 80 lb. Ability to push/pull 200 lb. Ability to move, manipulate equipment up to 1 000 lb. with assistance of carts, hoists, or other devices. Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility. Ability to work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.) around dangerous industrial equipment. Work Environment Work is performed at customer locations such as airports, correctional facilities, courthouses, cruise ships, or other sites as required. Travel Daily travel to locations in and around Seattle, Washington, including the SEA airport and surrounding area. Overtime and work hours outside Monday–Friday may be required. Salary and Benefits Salary ranges from $75,240 to $101,860 per year, determined by education, experience, skills, and alignment with internal and market data.
