Supply Chain Internship
Dialight is the world leader in LED industrial lighting technology with millions of LED fixtures installed worldwide. Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to support our operations team. This role offers hands-on experience in planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The intern will work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and sales teams to improve supply chain efficiency and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with demand planning and forecasting activities
- Support procurement processes, including supplier communication and purchase order tracking
- Analyze inventory levels and help maintain optimal stock levels to meet production needs
- Track and report key supply chain metrics (e.g., lead times, fill rates, on-time delivery)
- Help identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation initiatives
- Participate in logistics coordination, including inbound materials and outbound shipments
- Create and maintain reports using Excel or ERP systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ongoing projects and daily operations
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Interest in manufacturing, operations, or industrial products
